More than a Partnership
The Dayspring Prayer Team had an evening of fun and fellowship with the residents at Meadow Lake assisted living facility. The group enjoyed playing games like Yatzy, dominoes, cards and even put some puzzles together. The residents definitely liked the games but even more they enjoyed being able to sit down with other people share their story and have people who care to listen. Many residents at facilities like Meadow Lake do not have any family available to visit with them, so when Dayspring Groups stop by it is very meaningful for them. When we’re not playing games together, we sometimes bring our children to dance or just sit down during a meal. It is such an amazing experience for the kids to hear the history of our country from the people who lived it themselves. There is no better experience for the next generation then to take time to sit down with our greatest generation. Partnering with Meadow Lake has most definitely been more of a blessing for our small group and our church than it has been for the residents of Meadow Lake.
