Dr. Robert Hand


Theologian in Residence


Robert furthers Dayspring’s mission through volunteer teaching, adult education, and preaching at both campuses, and he seeks opportunities to help our members deepen, strengthen, and understand their faith in Christ in new ways. He has led classes on C. S. Lewis, the writings of Paul, the Gospels, the doctrine of the Trinity, the ecumenical creeds, theological foundations, the church fathers, and more. He also serves Dayspring as Lay Delegate to the Texas Annual Conference in addition to serving on Church Council.

During the week Robert works in Tyler as a financial advisor. He also occasionally teaches theology, philosophy, and ethics at LeTourneau University’s School of Theology and Vocation and has received grants from the John Templeton Foundation and Princeton Theological Seminary for teaching and research. Robert and his wife, Michele, live in Tyler with their daughters, Genevieve and Emmi.
